Cecile and Robert have lived in Hartford for many years. If you are in the Hartford area, you can attend Robert's funeral services on August 22nd at St. Lawrence Church, St. Lawrence, Wisconsin. Cecile and Robert were not able to make our 45th high school reunion back in 2007, but Cecile sent the following cheery update:
"Can't make it this time. Not much has changed in my life since I retired. Bob & I are always busy, busy! I don't know where the time goes. I still enjoy my flower gardening and am always looking for a perennial that I don't have yet in my garden. Bob says, 'Don't you have enough flowers yet?' when I bring some more home. I would like one of each perennial there is, but I am running out of room. Oh, well. As for my husband, Bob, well, he's become addicted to golf. He just loves it. Me? Well, I tried it for three summers. I'd go with Bob, but I just couldn't get the ball off the ground. It was like I was mowing lawn with a golf club! Can't say I didn't try! Bob and I aren't much for traveling, although we did go to Canada this summer and Iowa too. But that's enough for awhile. We are always happy to get home again. With a family of three children and seven grandchildren, we are certain that Cecile will have much loving support from them, along with the rest of their family and friends.
