"Thousands Attend 45th Reunion Committee Meeting!"

Well, maybe closer to 13 classmates & spouses--- more reminiscent of The Last Supper than the mob scene on the left, we suppose. (See more accurate photos below.)

Seeing as how there were only around 176 classmates in our "Class of '62," maybe the headline & photo would have to be considered slightly exaggerated.

However, we were impressed with the size of the turnout of 13 "live bodies" which should be an indication that we'll have enough committee members to "share the load" of putting together an enjoyable 45th Reunion of Hartford Union High School's "Class of '62" (but we can always use more help).

Here are some of the items discussed:

1- reunion date moved from tentative Sunday before Labor Day to the Saturday after the Friday of Hartford Union High School's Homecoming due to concern for established Labor Day Weekend commitments,

2- Friday's actual Homecoming events will be optional and a gathering point can be noted,

3- timeline under consideration: 5:00 social, 6:30 meal, 8:00 brief program, 9:00 continue socializing, disperse at individual preference,

4- "background" music provided by Mr. Rudersdorf,

5-cost of $26 per person and $7 for remembrance booklet only is under consideration,

6- locations under consideration include, but are not limited to: Hartford Country Club, The Iron Ridge Inn, The New Fox & Hounds.

7- making corrections to database of classmates' address/phone/email important task for all,

8- table "sponsorship/advertisement" to be explored,

9- invitation letter & classmate questionnaire, along with mailing dates & phone contact dates to be discussed at next meeting.

Next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2007, at high noon, at "The Movie House Grill" (the former Sario's Restaurant), west of Jackson, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Highways 60 & 45. Hope to see you there!
